Originally from north carolina, mel moved to tampa florida to pursue a career in art. She refined her artistry in college and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts, majoring in computer animation. Her dream was to work for disney but alas…life took a turn when she fell out of love with CORPORATE art.
Her first tattoo EXPERIENCE opened her mind to the possibility of venturing into that community. Not long after she graduated she asked her tattoo artist for an apprenticeship and never looked back.
Mel’s love of music, food and southern hospitality lead her to tennessee where she currently works as a resident artist at hart and huntington, nashville.

Everything is custom drawn the day of your appointment to ensure she has a clear direction, accurate proportions and concise flow.
Mel will collaborate with you to confirm you’re satisfied with the design prior to starting the tattoo. Time is allocated in each appointment for designing, adjustments, stenciling and the tattoo procedure.
